Lentil spread

Do you need a spread for your winter barbecue, a raclette on New Year's Eve or simply to accompany a baguette? Then this variant made from yellow lentils is quick and easy to make. And another important tip: the vegan spread with its ingredients is not only healthy, but also delicious. It's worth trying out!

Lentil spread

  • 150 g raw yellow lentils
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Cook the lentils according to the packet instructions and leave to cool.
  2. Peel and roughly chop the garlic clove.
  3. Mix the lentils and garlic and blend. Quick and easy with a food processor, blender or hand blender.
  4. Add the spices and puree again. Tip: If the mixture is too firm, add a little more water.
  5. Chill the spread and leave to infuse for a few hours.
