Prawns, strawberry, tomato bruschetta
Bruschetta is a popular appetizer from Italy that many people don't want to miss out on when they visit a restaurant. But why is it always just the classic version with tomatoes? Ingredients
Ingredients for 4 portions
Prawns, strawberries, tomato bruschetta
- 500 g raw prawns (fresh or frozen)
- 5-7 strawberries
- 3 tomatoes
- ½ onion
- some spring onions
- 4 stalks of parsley
- some butter
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 4 thick slices (approx. 25 g each) of baguette
- Salt, pepper
Preparation
- Finely chop the tomatoes, strawberries and onion. Finely chop the parsley, crush in the garlic and add a dash of lemon juice. Mix everything together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
- Wash and peel the prawns and remove the shells. Finely slice the spring onion.
- Grill the prawns and spring onions on the griddle for approx. 5 minutes. Briefly fry some of the strawberry and tomato mixture on the plancha. Chop the prawns into two or three pieces. Remove everything from the plancha and mix again in the bowl.
- Brush the baguette slices with butter and toast on both sides one after the other on the griddle. When the baguette slices are nice and crispy, remove from the grill and serve with the prawn, tomato and strawberry mixture.
