Homemade chocolate rolls
I don't think there's a better breakfast - for me at least. If you also like your breakfast sweet and you're a chocolate junkie like me, then you should definitely try this recipe for homemade chocolate rolls. Especially when the buns are fresh out of the oven, the dough is super fluffy and the chocolate melts warm. A very special highlight that is best made at home.

Cooking time 15-20 minutes

Homemade chocolate rolls
- 500g flour
- 100g sugar
- 125g butter
- 250ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 150g chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
- Carefully melt the butter in a saucepan.
- In a bowl, mix the butter, flour, yeast, sugar, salt, milk and 1 egg together for at least 5 minutes.
- Cover the dough and leave to rest for at least an hour – preferably in a warm place.
- Then add the chocolate drops to the batter.
- Depending on the desired size, shape up to 10 chocolate buns from the dough, place on a baking tray and leave to rest for another half an hour.
- Whisk the remaining egg and spread on the chocolate buns.
- Bake in the oven at 180 °C for approx. 15 – 20 minutes.
