Grilled corn on the cob with honey butter

Very popular and super tasty. Corn on the cob is an integral part of many people's barbecues. In this recipe, I'll show you how to prepare them with a delicious honey butter. They are grilled in their husk with a sprig of thyme for that special taste. Impress with an exceptionally tasty corn on the cob at your next barbecue.

Grilled corn on the cob with honey butter
  • 4 large corn cobs
  • 120 g soft, unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp plus 2 tsp honey
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. Pull back the husks of each ear and leave them hanging on the stalk. Hold the ear of corn in one hand and gather the husk so that it covers the stalk and forms a kind of handle. Remove all the corn silk.
  2. Preheat the grill to 200 °C.
  3. Mix the butter and honey in a small bowl.
  4. Spread approx. 2 tablespoons of honey butter on the kernels of each corn cob. Season with salt and cayenne pepper and press a sprig of thyme onto the kernels of each corn cob. Pull the husks back over the corn and tie with kitchen twine.
  5. Grill the corn over a moderate heat, turning, for approx. 15 minutes until the husks are slightly charred and the corn kernels are just tender.
  6. Transfer the corn to a platter, remove the kitchen string and serve.
