Quick BBQ rub for spicy grilled meat
My favorite sauce for barbecuing is definitely BBQ sauce. To go with it, I'll show you the all-rounder of barbecue spices here. You can use it dry for seasoning or as a base for a marinade. The BBQ rub, for example, tastes particularly delicious in combination with beer, oil and buttermilk.

BBQ rub
- ½ cup paprika, sweet and sour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp onion granules
- 1 ½ tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp nutmeg
Preparation
- Place all the ingredients in a sealable bowl.
- Shake well to mix everything well. Done.
- Sprinkle the meat with rub and grill.
Tip:
Pack airtight until ready to use so that no flavors are lost. The rub will keep for up to six months.
