Grilled porterhouse steak

The porterhouse steak is cut with fillet and bone from the flat roast beef. The name is derived from the British and American pubs where porter beer was served. Preparation on the electric grill is quick and easy, so let's get started!

FOR THE STEAKS

  • 2 steaks approx. 450 g each
  • Salt from the mill
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Olive oil to refine

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to 500 °C with the lid open.
  2. Season the meat with salt and grill on both sides on the BoostZone for 2-3 minutes with the lid open until a clear pattern appears.
  3. Reduce the heat to 160 °C, close the lid and set the desired target temperature (optimum core temperature 51-54 °C).
  4. Finally, leave to rest for 5 minutes without heat and season with pepper and refine with olive oil before serving.
