Homemade basil pesto (Pesto alla Genovese)

- approx. 50 g basil
- 50 g parmesan
- 40 g pine nuts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 160 ml olive oil
- Salt
Preparation
- Toast the pine nuts without oil in a pan and then leave to cool.
- Peel the garlic and place in a food processor with the remaining ingredients.
- Mix well until you have a creamy mixture.
- Season to taste with salt.
The finished pesto can now be poured into jars and placed in the fridge. It should be left there for at least a day before serving. The pesto will keep for about a week in the fridge if you cover the surface with oil.
