Bacon Bomb

Today we have the perfect dish for meat lovers - a bacon bomb. Meat wrapped in bacon with a delicious BBQ sauce from the electric grill! We hope you enjoy making it!

Ingredients
Ingredients for 4-6 portions
FOR THE BACON BOMB
  • 500 g minced beef,
  • fresh from the butcher
  • 100 g strong cheddar cubes
  • 100 g grated Emmental cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • ½ SEVERIN Special-Rub,
  • see recipe on page 169
  • 8-10 slices of breakfast bacon
  • 120 ml BBQ sauce
EXTRAS
  • 1 watered smoking board

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to 500 °C with the lid open.
  2. Mix all the ingredients for the bacon bomb together. Place the bacon slices next to each other, slightly overlapping, place the meat at the bottom and roll up.
  3. Pat the smoking board dry and grill on the BoostZone with the lid open for several minutes to release the aroma. It must not burn!
  4. Then place the bacon bomb on top, insert the core temperature probe and set the desired target temperature (72-78 °C). Reduce the heat to 140 °C and grill the bacon bomb with the lid closed for 40-45 minutes.
  5. Brush the Bacon Bomb repeatedly with the BBQ sauce 10-15 minutes before the end of the grilling time until it has been used up (core temperature 72-78 °C).
