Live where others go on vacation! – Part 3 – Winter wonderland
In the first two parts of our series "We work where others go on vacation", we have already shown what summer and autumn have to offer in the Sauerland! Winter also has a lot to offer in the Sauerland. We'll show you what winter has to offer in the Sauerland.

In winter, the Sauerland is a real tourist magnet. As soon as the first snowflakes fall, the slopes around Winterberg are groomed. But it’s not just skiing and cross-country skiing that is possible here, but also tobogganing or the Mühlenkopfschanze in nearby Willingen (the largest ski jump in the world).

But not only Winterberg, but also many smaller ski resorts such as Wildewiese offer fun in the snow for everyone. Our four-legged friends also enjoy the winter wonderland.

We love long walks through the snow-covered forests of the Sauerland. Our lakes are also enchanted in winter. Here is a picture of the Esmecker reservoir:

During the Christmas season, you can also visit one of the many traditional Christmas markets. In addition to mulled wine, there is usually also Christmas music from the local music societies.
