Ingredients for 12 pieces
Muffins
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla
  • 190 g soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g low-fat quark
  • 220 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Red, yellow, blue food coloring
  • 150 g heavy cream cheese
  • 80 g powdered sugar

  • Chocolate lentils

  • Red and black sugar writing

Preparation

  1. First, preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven) and line a muffin tray with paper cases.
  2. Then place the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, low-fat quark and 150g butter in a bowl and mix for about 40 seconds until creamy.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder and salt and stir for a further 15 seconds.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between three bowls and color as desired with the food coloring.
  5. The finished batter is then poured into the tins by placing a teaspoon of each color in each well of the muffin tin. If there is any batter left over, you can divide it evenly between the cases.
  6. Now bake the muffins for about 25 minutes and then leave to cool completely.
  7. For the cream, place 40g butter, heavy cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl and stir until smooth. Then chill until ready to use.
  8. To decorate, add 1 tbsp of the cream cheese to each muffin and decorate as desired with chocolate lentils, gummy bears, sugar sprinkles and sugar writing to create beautiful clown faces.
