How can I ensure the DK 1042 works in my kitchen? I bought another SEVERIN induction herd and it did not work and the electric went off when I plugged it in.
The hotplate DK 1042 is designed for an electrical voltage of 220 – 240 volts and requires a power of 2500 watts to function properly. Please check whether these conditions are given. If yes, the devices should work in your kitchen aswell.

Is it possible to use “normal” pots, that are not suitable for induction for the DK 1031?
The DK 1031 must only be used with cookware suitable for use with inductiontype hot-plates, eg stainless-steel with a ferro-magnetic base, or cast-iron or enamelled steel cookware.

Is it normal that the water starts boiling even though I set the temperature to 80° C for the DK 1031?
To reach the desired temperature in the entire pot, a higher temperature than selected is required. This is due to the fact that the heat must build up through the entire water quantity, from the bottom of the pot to the surface of it. Therefore it may happen that water starts to boil slightly at the setting of approx. 80° C.
