Grilled salmon with avocado salsa

You can never have enough new recipes, so here's the next tasty recipe for the barbecue for you. This time neither meat nor vegetarian. It's fish - salmon, to be precise. Grilled on fresh lime slices, it has a particularly intense flavor. Add a delicious salsa and the feast can begin.

Grilled salmon with avocado salsa

  • For the fish
  • 1 kg salmon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • For the avocado salsa
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Roma tomato
  • ½ small red onion
  • 115 g corn
  • Juice from ½ lime
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

Salmon

  1. Mix together the salt, chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper.
  2. Rub the salmon fillets with olive oil and spice mix.
  3. Place the salmon on lime slices on the grill, this makes it easier to remove from the grill and ensures a more intense flavor. Grill for approx. 10 minutes over a medium heat (approx. 220 °C).

Tip

The salmon can also be prepared on a wooden plank (e.g. cedar wood). To do this, place the wooden plank in water for at least 1 hour before grilling. Slightly score the salmon and insert lime slices into the cuts. Place the prepared salmon on the wooden plank for grilling.

Avocado salsa

  1. Chop the avocado, onion and tomatoes and mix with the salt, coriander and lime juice.
  2. Top the salmon with avocado salsa.
