Quick bell pepper and sausage skewers
Bratwurst is probably the German barbecue classic par excellence and is a must on many people's barbecues. Are you also a fan of bratwurst, but crave a little variety? Then these delicious and super quick to make bratwurst skewers are just the thing for you. Peppers, shallots and bacon breathe new life into the classic bratwurst.

Paprika and sausage skewers
- 3 grilled sausages (scalded)
- ½ bell bell pepper (green)
- 100 g sliced bacon
- 1 shallot
- 100 ml Hungarian-style paprika sauce

- Barbecue skewers
- Barbecue tray
Preparation
- Cut the sausages into slices approx. 2 cm thick. Quarter the peppers, remove the seeds and cut into pieces. Roll up the bacon slices. Peel and slice the shallots.
- Thread all the ingredients alternately onto skewers. Preheat the grill to 300 °C.
- Place the skewers in a grill tray and place on the grill, grill for approx. 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Just before the end, brush the skewers with the Hungarian-style paprika sauce.
Tip
If you prefer coarse sausages, you should scald them briefly before slicing so that the sausage meat firms up and does not fall out after slicing.
