Bratwurst with plum glaze

Are you also looking for a way to spice up the good old bratwurst? Then I've got just the thing for you. Bratwurst sausages with a delicious plum glaze are not only super easy and quick to make, but also the perfect combination of savory and sweet. Curious? Then try it out right away!

Bratwurst with plum glaze

  • 1 kg sausages
  • 100 g stewed plums
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to 150 °C.
  2. Mix the plum compote with the balsamic vinegar, thyme and pepper in a pan and simmer for approx. 5 minutes while stirring. Keep half of the glaze in a bowl.
  3. Grill the sausages for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. Brush the sausages with the plum glaze from the pan approx. 5 minutes before the end of grilling. Serve the cooked sausages with the remaining glaze.
