Who hasn't been there? Sitting around the campfire in the evening and roasting delicious bread on a stick. But how about grilled bread on a stick? We have a recipe for you in which we show you step by step how to make crispy barbecue bread from an airy yeast dough. Add a delicious dip and you have a great side dish for your barbecue evening with friends and family.

Grilled bread

  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 300 ml lukewarm water
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp soft butter
  • Olive oil

Preparation

  1. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm water and stir to dissolve.
  2. Knead together the yeast water, flour, sugar, salt and butter.
  3. cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. Shape into 8 equal-sized balls and then form into flat cakes.
  5. Brush with oil and grill for 3 minutes on each side.
