Kaiserschmarrn from the hot air fryer

Hot air fryer meets traditional indulgence - experience our recipe for succulent Kaiserschmarrn in a modern way! The popular Austrian dessert becomes crispy and fluffy at the same time in the hot air fryer. With less fat and in less time, you can conjure up a culinary masterpiece.

  • 75 g flour, type 405
  • 140 ml milk
  • 2 eggs (M)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp poppy seeds
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 20 g butter
  • 20 g powdered sugar, for serving

Preparation

  1. Grease an ovenproof dish (18-20 cm diameter) with the butter.
  2. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with half the sugar until stiff.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the remaining ingredients until smooth.
  4. Carefully fold in the egg white and sugar mixture and pour the mixture into the greased oven dish.
  5. Sprinkle the mixture with a little powdered sugar and bake (depending on the size of the tin) at 180 °C for about 12-15 minutes in the SEVERIN Multi-Hot Air Fryer.
  6. Divide the Kaiserschmarrn into diamonds with a knife or shred with a fork and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Tip: Serve with hot cherries, red fruit jelly or rum raisins.
