At Severin, sustainability is not a trend or a marketing buzzword – it is a guiding principle behind our daily decisions.
From materials and processes to partnerships and product ideas, we aim to act thoughtfully and transparently. Not perfect, but honest.

We are aware that every product leaves a footprint. That is why we strive to keep ours as small as possible, with durable appliances, smart packaging, and fair conditions throughout our supply chain.

For us, this means continuously questioning our choices, becoming more transparent, and staying committed.

Not because it sounds good. But because we believe: embracing possibilities also means accepting responsibility.

Severin makes it possible. Every day, a little better.

We manufacture household appliances and that leaves a mark.

Whether during production, transportation, or even in the office – our activities leave an environmental footprint.
We can’t eliminate these impacts entirely, but we can reduce them.

Here, we show you where we’re already making good progress and where there’s still work to be done.

Our current status quo
  • Sustainability Report according to GRI-Standards – from 2026 onwards in line with ESRS
  • CO2-Decarbonisation Plan
  • Extensive Repair Services
  • Internal Travel Guideline: Rail First

We still have to work on this
  • Transition to recycled packaging across the entire product range
  • Reduction of resources such as gas, electricity and waste
  • Development of the Severin Diversity Score

And now you

We can‘t all change the world, but we can all change everdays habits. For example, in the way we use our electrical appliances.
Here is how you can help your appliance to live longer:

Descale regulary

Limescale? No one needs it. By descaling your appliances regularly - like your coffee machine, kettle, or iron - you help them stay in good shape for longer. And as a bonus, you will save energy too.

Unplug instead of standby

Standby sounds convenient, but it quietly consumes energy. By fully switching off your devices and unplugging them, you not only save electricity but also extend their lifespan.

Clean devices last longer

A little maintenance now and then goes a long way, even for your appliances. Cleaning filters, wiping off dust, giving things a quick blow-through: It is easy to do and truly effective.

Store it right – keep it ready

When your appliance takes a break: store it in a cool, dry, and dust-free place. No saunas, no damp corners. That way, it is ready to go when you need it again.

Repair, don‘t replace

Just because something is broken does not mean it has to go. A spare part and a quick fix, that is all it often takes. Repairing saves money, resources, and a lot of frustration. Our service center is happy to support you.

Smart use = longer life

Your appliances work hard, but they have their limits too. Give your kettle or vacuum cleaner time to cool down, do not overload them, and stick to the recommended fill levels and operating times. Your devices will thank you by staying reliable for longer.

Qustions & Answers

Are Severin appliances sustainable?

How much we would love to simply shout “Yes.” But unfortunately, it is not that simple.
What we can say for sure is this: we do our best and think long-term.
For us, sustainability mainly means developing products that last a long time and can be repaired. With replaceable parts and a repair service, we make sure you can enjoy your purchase for years.
The focus: quality that lasts. Because the longer a product holds up, the better – for you and for the environment.

Who is behind sustainability at Severin?

Hi, I am Luca - Sustainability Expert at Severin.

I believe sustainability is not a trend, it is a responsibility. And that responsibility starts with the small things.
To me, that means: saving energy, recycling properly, choosing local products - in short, making conscious choices every day.

At Severin, we use recycled materials, reduce packaging, and design our products to be easier to repair.

Severin makes it possible for sustainability to be more than just a goal. It is a path we are truly committed to.
