Vegetable shashlik
Shashlik skewers don't always have to be made with meat. They are also delicious with vegetables. The right spice mix gives the vegetables their aromatic flavor.

Ingredients for 4 portions
FOR THE SKEWERS
- 1 small green zucchini
- 1 small yellow zucchini
- 1 eggplant
- 200 g brown mushrooms
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt from the mill
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 red onion
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
FOR THE SAUCE
- 150 ml tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp dried marjoram
- 2 tbsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
EXTRAS
- 8 watered wooden skewers
Preparation
- Clean the vegetables and cut into 3 cm cubes. Brush and halve the mushrooms. Mix the vegetables with the oil, thread alternately onto the skewers and season with salt and pepper.
- Peel and finely dice the onion.
- Preheat the grill to 160 °C with the lid closed. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together.
- Grill the skewers with the lid closed for 12-15 minutes. Brush occasionally with the sauce.
- Spread the remaining sauce on the plates. Arrange the skewers on top and top with diced onion and parsley.
