Cohesion after the flood
A good month and a half ago, we were also literally caught out by the cold in the Sauerland region. Several streams, which usually babble tranquilly through our company premises, flowed knee-deep into our halls. Fortunately, we only had to deal with the material damage. Many colleagues actively helped during the flood and the subsequent clean-up work to prevent avoidable damage to the company.
We were very moved by the fates of many people, some of whom were facing existential threats. True to our mission statement, we helped in an approachable manner and within the scope of our possibilities. We offered unbureaucratic help to affected employees, e.g. in the form of additional days of special leave or “clean-up support” from colleagues. We supported local clubs and associations financially and individual households or committed initiatives with donations in kind.
Astrid Knieps from the Ahr valley is responsible for distributing donations in kind to particularly affected households.
We are very pleased with the great feedback and solidarity in times like these and would like to thank all supporters, helpers and our dedicated colleagues for their personal commitment.
