Ham and cheese fritters from the hot air fryer

Ingredients
Ingredients for 24 doughnuts
- 100 g butter
- 280 g wheat flour type 405
- 5 eggs
- 100 g cheese (e.g. Gouda or Cheddar)
- 100 g cooked ham
- Salt, pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Herb quark, to serve
Preparation
- Bring the butter and 400 ml water to the boil in a pan.
- Add the flour all at once and stir well until a white layer forms at the bottom of the pan.
- Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Grate the cheese and cut the ham into small cubes.
- Place the flour and water mixture in a food processor and knead with the dough hook.
- Add the eggs one at a time and knead well.
- Fold the grated cheese and diced ham into the batter. Season with salt and pepper.
- Brush your hands lightly with vegetable oil.
- Shape the dough into 24 equal-sized balls and place on the baking paper-lined grids of the air fryer.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C and bake the doughnuts individually at 200 °C for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with herb quark and enjoy!
