Vegetable potato chips

All you want to do is spend another day sitting on the sofa with a snack and Netflix. But what kind of snack doesn't contradict your guilty conscience on a day like this? That's right, our delicious vegetable potato chips. Our tasty snack to start the new year.

Vegetable potato chips

  • 500 g vegetables
  • Spices of your choice

Here are some suggestions

  • Eggplant
  • Cucumber
  • Kale
  • Carrots
  • Kohlrabi
  • Pumpkin
  • Parsnips
  • Radishes
  • Beet (pre-cooked)
  • Sour cucumbers
  • Sweet potato (1.5 hours beforehand in warm water)
  • Jerusalem artichoke
  • Savoy cabbage (whole leaves the size of the palm of your hand)
  • Zucchini

Preparation

  1. Wash the vegetables and cut into 2 to 4 centimeter slices.
  2. Sprinkle the vegetable slices with spices and make sure that all the chips get some.
  3. Place the vegetable slices on the grid of the dehydrator so that the vegetable slices are close together but not touching.
  4. Leave to dry at 55 to 65 ° for 8 hours.
  5. The potato chips are ready as soon as they can no longer be bent, if this is not yet the case, the potato chips are dried in the dehydrator for longer and checked from time to time to see if they are ready.
