Mini burgers are the perfect party snack and a hit with children and adults alike. These little delicacies are not only versatile and easy to prepare, but also ideal for any buffet or as a main course at a family meal. With fresh ingredients and a selection of toppings, they can be varied at will and offer something for every taste.
Preparation time 20 minutes Cooking time 10 minutes
Ingredients
Ingredients for 8 portions
For the burgers
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small burger buns
For the topping
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • 8 slices of cucumber
  • 8 small lettuce leaves
  • 8 slices of tomato
  • Ketchup and mayonnaise to taste

Preparation

  1. Place the minced beef in a large bowl. Add the egg, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix everything well until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
  2. Shape the minced meat mixture into small patties that are slightly larger than the mini burger buns, as they will shrink slightly during frying.
  3. Heat a frying pan and fry the patties over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are cooked and nicely browned.
  4. Cut the burger buns in half and toast briefly in a pan or in the oven until crispy.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf, a slice of cucumber and a slice of tomato on the bottom half of the bun. Place the fried patty and a slice of cheese on top. Spread with ketchup and mayonnaise as desired. Place the top half of the bun on top.
  6. Serve the mini burgers immediately or keep them warm in the oven until ready to eat.
